Mrs. Anna H. Kunz, 94, a pioneer of Bear lake County, died in Logan, Utah on Thursday, December 14th of causes incident to age. Deceased was born in Bern, Switzerland on May 24, 1862, to Peter and Jacobana Beckler Hoffman. She came to the United States when 20 years of age and lived in Montpelier. She was married to Albert Kunz on November 7th, 1883, in the old Salt Lake City endowment house of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He died August 18, 1946. Mrs. Kunz was an active church member.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Hirschi and Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Humphery, Logan, and Martha Kunz, American Fork, and eight sons, Albert R., LeRoy, Delbert L., Lorenzo and Martin M. Kunz, all of Montpelier, John Kunz, Logan, Milford Kunz, Ogden and Joseph Kunz of Magna, Utah. Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Rosa Rosen of Pocatello, 43 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Logan, and the remains were brought to Montpelier for interment in the Montpelier Cemetery.
