Betty was a bookkeeper for Evangelical Church Alliance for 20 years, retiring in September of 2000. Betty and Don lived in Munich, Germany for one year while Don served in the Army. She was at great wife, mother and grandmother, always thrilled to see her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting and taking trips to Disney World and Disney Land. Betty was a member of Calvary Bible Church and the former President of the PTA at St. George School in the 70’s.
She is survived by her husband Don Brenner of Bourbonnais; one son Jeffrey (Megan) of Kankakee; two daughters Arlene (Keith) Reel of Bourbonnais and Gloria (Kevin) Kamp of Tinley Park; one sister Berniece (Virgil) Baker of Mattoon; one brother James (Carol) Kunce of Watseka; six grandchildren Bryan (Megan) Kamp, Kyle (Megan) Kamp, Jennie Kamp, Amy (Ben) White, Josh Reel and Andrew Brenner; four great-grandchildren Makayla Kamp, Lena Kamp, Zion Kamp and Caprina Kamp; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 5-8 pm at Schreffler Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 am at Calvary Bible Church, with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Calvary Bible Church.
