Earl Thomas Kuhn, Jr., 84 of Leslie, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.

He was born July 11, 1925 in Bellville, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Sr., his mother, Lettie, a brother Harry, his stepson, Herschell Lee Hennessee and a nephew Dick.

He is survived by his wife Famey, one son Earl Kuhn III of Topeka, Kansas, two stepsons, Billy Hennessee of Leslie, Arkansas, Ronnie and wife Cheryl Hennessee of Topeka, Kansas, three grandchildren: Jamie, Tyler and Taylor, two great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren: Andy, Shawn, Casey, Missy, Valorie, Anthony, Douglas, Victoria, and Joseph, twelve great-grandchildren all of Topeka, Kansas.

Earl loved all his grandchildren and he loved to play Santa for all the children at the Leslie Head start.

Earl was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the Navy. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., the Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion. He also served one term as Leslie's mayor.

Pallbearers will be Thad Chadwick, Aaron Chadwick, Richard Hoppis, Victor Boyd, David Chapman and Benny Boyd.

Burial was in the Kuykendall Cemetery.
