Joseph "Joe" Kuebler, 77, of Plantation, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2002, in Westside Regional Hospital. Joe was born in Toledo on January 24, 1925, the third son of the late Harry and Elsie Kuebler. Mr. Kuebler was a US Army veteran of WWII. Joe served as a firefighter for 20 years for the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department, retiring in 1975. Mr. Kuebler also was a master electrician and was the owner and operator of Joe's Village Electric. He was a member of VFW Post #715 in Sunrise, Florida and held several local, district and state positions in Florida.
Surviving are his companion, Loretta Youman; sons, Tim (Pam) Kuebler of Warren, OH and Mike (Joan) Kuebler of Roswell, GA; sister, Hilda Rishel of Northwood, OH; brother, Glen Kuebler of Holland, OH; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Kuebler Brenke, and brother, George Kuebler.
There will be no visitation and at his request burial took place at sea. Memorial contributions in "Uncle Joe's" name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
