Alan Louis Kruse was the son of Louis Frank Kruse and Sophie Felicita (Gilvid) Kruse. The family moved to San Diego when Alan was still in Grammar school. He was preceded in death by his parents, and leaves behind his brother, Brian Justin Kruse. Alan attended Crawford High School in San Diego. In high school, Alan was proud of becoming an ROTC Officer. Alan entered the Marine Corp on 24 Aug 1964 and served his country for four years until he left the service on 23 Aug 1968.
