Funeral services for Willie Mae Chernosky, 88, of Sugar Land, Texas will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Morton Cemetery in Richmond.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Willie Mae was born October 16, 1925 in Sugar Land to William Kruse and Rosie (Macek) Kruse. She enjoyed raising her chickens and loved to garden and watch her fruit trees and red holly plants grow. Willie Mae passed away November 11, 2013 at her home in Sugar Land.
She is preceded in death by parents, William and Rosie Kruse; an infant son; brother, Ben Kruse; sister, Viola Phillip; and son-in-law, Lee C. Essman.
Willie Mae is survived by her husband of nearly 69 years, August Chernosky; children, Shirley Jean Essman, Linda Mae Mayhood and husband, Melvin and Darrell Wayne Chernosky and wife, Loretta; grandchildren, Lee C. Essman, Jr. and wife, Tara, Kimberly Nobles and husband, Joel, Roxanne Chennault, Justin Mayhood and wife, Heather; great grandchildren, Emily Essman, Shane Essman, Zoe Essman, Zak Snook, Dillion Chennault, Bailey Chennault and Austin Mayhood; along with other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers serving are Lee Essman, Jr., Justin Mayhood, Dillion Chennault, Zak Snook, Terrell Smith and Gregg Smith.
