Born Nov. 6, 1913, in Jersey County, she was a daughter of Henry and Margaret (Kitzmiller) Krueger.
She married Wilbur Franklin Bean on Feb. 9, 1931, in Alton. He died Feb. 25, 2005.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Elizabeth Chapter 17 in Kane.
Surviving are a sister, Lois Marjorie "Babe" Downey of Jerseyville; four nephews; a niece; and a sister-in-law, Vincent Krueger of Jerseyville.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Krueger.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Alexander & Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Barbara Alley.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Fieldon United Church of Christ or the American Diabetes Association.
