The story I have heard about my grandmother is she & another young girl were sent from Norway to America at about 9 yrs. of age with a young lady. Hilda was then raised by Nels & Gurena Hanson in WI - possibly a brother (or some relation) to Hilda's mother. She was considered a sister to the 5 boys in that family.
Hilda married Gus Krohmer Jan. 25, 1905 in Clifton, WI. They had 5 children: Carroll Gustav (1906), Melvin George (1911), Grace Louise (1913), Delmer Frederick (1915), Iona Marie (1920).
