Mrs. Kobs Found Dead Tuesday Morning

Mrs. Pauline Kobs, a resident of Lake City the past fourteen years, was found dead in her bed Tuesday morning, December, first. Mrs. Kobs as usual had called her son, Arthur, who went to his work. Later the daughter called her mother to make some inquiries and as there was no answer she went to the bed and found the mother had gone to her eternal rest.

Mrs. Kobs, whose maiden name was Pauline Krinke, was born at Princeton, Wis., June 10, 1859. At the age of three years she moved with her parents to Blue Earth, Minn. She was married to Wm. T. Kobs Dec. 25, 1884 , and in 1885 Mr. and Mrs. Kobs moved to Cavalier, N.D. Mr. Kobs died July 10, 1910, and in 1911 Mrs. Kobs moved to Lake City and children.

Mrs. Kobs is survived by seven children. They are Arthur of Lake City, Menno of Minneapolis, John of East Lansing, Michigan; Millie, Mrs. G. E. Herrick of Lake City; Florence, Mrs. Elmer Johnson of Lake City; Mabel, Mrs. Nat Peterson of Frontenac; and Lillian at home. Mrs. Kobs is also survived by a brother Paul Krinke of Mazeppa, and two sisters, Mrs. G. Saffron of Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. August Potter of Blue Earth.

Funeral services were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon at the house, Rev. Morse of the Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. Interment was made at Lakewood cemetery.
