Helen Genevieve Kray was born on July 5, 1918 in Chippewa County to Heiko and Elizabeth (Klinghagen) Goldenstein. She attended country school and Clara City Public Schools.
She was united into marriage to John Kray on April 15, 1942. This union was blessed with two children, Kenneth and Paulette. Helen worked several jobs including: Yock and Meyer Grocery, Variety Supply and Clara City Medical Center as an office manager. John passed away on October 23, 1992. Helen continued to live in Clara City.
Helen was a lifelong member of Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City where she was active in the ladies aid. She also volunteered for the Clara City Care Center. She enjoyed quilting, baking and crocheting making many afghan blankets.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Kray, daughter Paulette Hoff and three brothers and three sisters.
