Was Valued Employee of City Many Years
Charles F. Krantz, 56, passed away Friday [November 4, 1932] afternoon at the Birney hospital, where he was ill for the past week. Mr. Krantz, an employee of the city power plant, has lived in Estherville for many years and has been employed by the city as an electrician for some tiem.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon under the direction of the Rev. A. G. Bailey.

Mr. Krantz is survived by his wife and four children, Irene, Esther, Glenn and Kenneth. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, November 8, 1932)


Charles Krantz Laid to Rest Monday
Chas. Frederick Krantz for years a trusted and faithful employee of the city passed away last Friday at the Birney hospital after a continued illness.

Mr. Krantz was born on October 25, 1876 and came to this vicinity in 1903. Later he entered into the employ of the city and for years had charge of the city plant. He was united in marriage to Miss Lena Johnson in 1906. There were four children born to this union, Irene, head nurse of the Birney hospital, Glenn, Esther and Kenneth.

The funeral services were held at the home at one thirty on Monday and at the Sternborg funeral home at two o'clock, the Rev. Arthur Bailey officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 9, 1932)
