Military Rites Held for Charles Kraft...World War I Veteran -
Mr. Kraft died late Thursday afternoon at his farm north of Wolbach. He had gone to the pasture after cattle on a tractor, and suffered a heart attack, falling off backwards. The tractor turned completely over coming to a stop. He was found by his son, Clyde, who set out to look for him, when he had not returend.
Carl Charles Kraft was born July 13, 1886 at Grafton to Peter and Margaret Kraft and departed this life on October 22, 1959 at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 9 days. He was baptized in the Congregational Church. He was a veteran of World War I, entering the service July 18, 1918, and being discharged Jan. 20, 1919. He and Anna Gregor were married March 1, 1937 at Bartlett and they lived on a farm north of Wolbach.
He was preceded in death by his wife on July 10, 1943, his parents and two brothers.
Survivors include three children, Edwin of Wallace, and Clyde C. and Miss Margaret Ann, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Magie Moser, Lompoc, California; three brothers, Jacob of Alliance, Henry of Wolbach and Phillip of Grand Island; and one grandchild.
