I know nothing of Louise's earlier life -only from where she married John Henry Becker (my great grandfather) after his divorce from his first wife, Margaret (my great grandmother). I only know about Louise in relation to what I know about her relationship with John Henry.

Louise evidently met and married John Henry Becker in Emporia, Kansas (where John Henry was a baker) either after or before his divorce from his wife of some 20 years, Margaret. At the time John and Margaret had two children, Amelia and Harry James Becker. Louise was about as old as John Henry's son, Harry or some 25 years younger than John Henry. John Henry was a successful baker and confectioner. After their marriage they moved to Peoria, Illinois and other places finally settling in Crete, Nebraska, where John had a bakery. At least two of their children were born in Crete, a son on December 12, 1891 and a daughter on October 12, 1893. In the directory for Crete, Nebraska, John Henry is listed as a confectioner. On September 16, 1897, the Crete, Nebraska paper had a news item that Louise had "left her husband." I do not know if they ever got a divorce.I also do not know why Louise left her husband. Evidently Louise and their children (not all born in Crete) moved to Kansas City and lived there. The flue epidemic of 1918 had a toll on the family as at least two children (as adults) seem to have died during that period. John Henry moved to Clay Center, Nebraska, and continued working as a baker and evidently would often visit Louise, or at least their daughter, Ruth (who he seems to have been closer to than Louise) as he would stop in Lincoln on the way to visit his son from his marriage with Margaret. According to her death certificate, Louise died from a pin prick which probably became infected.
