Mary Rose Kovacs Csogi, age 92 of Willingboro, passed this life on Sunday at the Samaritan Hospice, Mount Holly, NJ. Born in Roebling, NJ, she was a Trenton area resident for many years before moving to Willingboro.
Mary was such a loving, caring person that all who knew her loved her. Family was special to her and she enjoyed the days spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved traveling, bowling, crocheting, knitting, reading and crossword puzzles.
In 1938, she worked at General Motors, which became Eastern Aircraft Company during WWII. She was one of the first women certified as a welder on the Grumman Avenger Torpedo Bomber.
After the war, she was employed at the Westinghouse Corp, Lamp Division, from where she retired.
Mary was the wife of the late James Csogi. She was the daughter of the late Sandor and Mary Kriennaker Kovacs and sister to the late Helen Farkas, Julia Yurcho and Sandor Kovacs. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Clara and James Ayrer of Willingboro, with whom she resided. There is one son and daughter-in-law, James and Alice Csogi of Lawrenceville. Grandchildren include, James and Karrie Ayrer, Susan and Keith Ward, Kevin and Christine Ayrer, Patricia and Teddy Egley, Sharon and Edward Suchora, Lisa and Paul Adler, Laura and David Descoteau, James and Barbara Csogi, Jr. and Paul and Lindsay Csogi. Great grandchildren include James Ayrer IV, Colleen and Jaclyn Ward, Christopher and Ashley Ayrer, Michael and Ryan Egley, Timothy, Ella, and Amelia Suchora, Amelia and Alyssa Adler, Kaitlyn, Courtney and Kelly Csogi, Jacob and Nicholas Descoteau and Aden Csogi. There are two great-great grandchildren, Sean and Caitlin Ayrer and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels, Immaculate Conception Church, 340 Chestnut Ave., Trenton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday morning after 9:00 AM at the ROGERS FUNERAL HOME, 825 Chambers St., Trenton, NJ.
