Death: Jul. 4, 1997

Our mom, Barbara, always called Nancy her "miracle baby" because momma had been told by doctors that she would never have children, due to several bad car accidents when she was younger. Well, my sister proved those doctors wrong!!! It also seemed to define many of her characteristics as she grew! She was always determined. If she couldn't solve a problem or difficulty, she would figure a way around it, over it, or how to roll over it! She began an electronic assembly company in the 1970s when it was very much a male dominated industry. She was brilliant!

Nan loved her family deeply. She met her husband, Buddy, when she was a teen and they married when she was 18. They remained married until her passing at age 52. She had one son and one daughter, both of whom she loved dearly. She was a wonderful mom, but the role she cherished most of all was being a grandma. Due to her illness, she didn't get to play and interact with the two youngest as much as the older three, but she loved each one so very much. She laughed at their antics and cherished their hugs & kisses.

Thinking of you with love and wistfulness as I watched the fireworks on the TV.

I remember, with wistfulness, the daisies you wore in your hair when you were a teen! Eighteen years have come and gone without you, but you are still missed! Love you, Nan!
