Gladys J. Bachman, 85, of Ephrata, saw the face of the Lord on Saturday, April 14, 2012, and entered into Heaven.
She was born in Lancaster to the late Alvin and Ida Jane (Kauffman) Kopp and was the wife of the late Lester P. Bachman.
Gladys was a member of Evangel Assembly of God, Ephrata. She was a former member of First Assembly of God, Lancaster, where she served as a Deaconess at the church. Gladys especially enjoyed spending time with her family and embroidery.
Gladys is survived by a son, Matthew P., husband of Julie (Benson) Bachman of Lititz; 2 daughters, Cathy J., wife of Michael E. Ober of Ephrata, Nancy E., wife of Douglas Bagnoli of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren, Shane A. Burkholder of Columbia, Rebecca, wife of Tommy Shearer of Ephrata Michael P., husband of Amanda (Flynn) Ober of Akron, Andrew and Jenna Bachman both of Lititz; 3 great grandchildren, Cheyenne Shearer, Hunter Shearer, and Emma Ober; a brother, Arden, husband of Helen Kopp of Leola; 2 sisters, Joyce, wife of Earl Foreman of Lititz, Josephine "Jo" Smith of Lititz; and former son in law, Gregory, husband of Judith Burkholder of Manheim.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Kopp.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, from 6 to 7 pm, followed a memorial service at 7 pm, at the Evangel Assembly of God, 939 Linden Rd., Ephrata, with Pastor Kevin Sylvester officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
