Yet Set; Had Lived
Here Many Years
Carl Kopanske, aged about 83
years, a former prominent and highly
respected resident of this city a
number of years, died at the home
of a brother, August Kopanske in
Corydon on Thursday, April 20, at
8 p. m., following a lengthy illness,
Mr. Kopanske was born in Germany
and came to the United States
in 1902 settling in Bradford where
he resided for many years before
moving to Corydon to live with a
brother. Deceased was a retired
farmer.
Survivors include two brother,
August, of Corydon, who is visiting
in Florida at present, and Gust Kopanske
of Bradford; three nieces,
Mrs. Ruth Roof of Bradford, Mrs.
T. H. Marvin of Syracuse, and Mrs.
R. M. Arenberg, of Newburg, N. T.
The body was taken in charge by
the Brooks B. Hollenbeck Funeral
Home. Time of services will be
announced later pending the arrival
of his brother, August, from Florida.
