CHRISTINA MARLENE KOOPS KAY Age 49, died at her home in Santa Rosa on Friday, January 12th surrounded by her loving family. Christina Valiantly battled cancer for the last two years of her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David A. Kay; her four adoring children, Nicholle Vannucci, Samantha Bauer, Brandon Kay, and Brady Kay; her son-in-law, Jason Vannucci; her loving grandson, Gino Vannucci; her father, Hendrick Koops; her sisters, Wilhelmina Tosh, Ellie Koops, Jeanette Lind, and Francis Minicielli; her brother, Hank Koops; her brothers' and her sister-in-law, her nieces and nephews, and her many, many friends.
She will be reunited with her mother, Jenny Koops, whom preceded her in transcendence to Heaven.
Christina was born in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia and raised in Tarzana, California.
She was a dedicated, compassionate, selfless wife, mother, and grandmother. A second mother to all of her children's friends, she had the gift of making all feel welcome. An avid supporter of all her children's activities, Christina loved baseball but their football games made her cry.
Gardening was a favorite pastime, a love shared with her grandson, who idolized her. She was a priceless gift to all whose lives she touched.
Christina was the Tasting Room and Hospitality Manager for 12 years at her home away from home, Landmark Vineyards.
Ever diligent, she will be remembered by her co-workers for her party planning, attention to detail and her organizational skills.
