Mrs. Ella J. Behney, of 410 North Fifth Street, wife of Harry O. Behney, manager of the American store, on South Eighth Street, passed away at 4:30 o'clock, on Wednesday afternoon, at the family home. She was ill a long time, suffering from a complication of diseases, and during the past year she suffered greatly. She was treated at a Philadelphia hospital for a long lime but malady could not be checked, and death came at last as a welcome relief from suffering. The bereaved husband, and two daughters, S. Madeline, and Sara Anna, have the sympathy of a large circle of relatives and friends in the loss of a devoted wife and good mother. The deceased also leaves her mother, Mrs. Sophia Kohr, of Bethel, Berks County, and five brothers and five sisters, residing in various parts of the state. Mrs. Behney was 46 years of age. She was a member of Salem church at Bethel. Her fine traits of heart and mind endeared her to those with whom she came in contact, and many friends share the loss of her immediate family in her death.
