Patricia M. Koenen, passed away in Port Washington early Friday morning, October 17, 2014. Pat was born October 22, 1923 in Kaukauna, the daughter of John and Monica (nee Melody) Hopfensperger. On September 2, 1950, she was united in marriage with James J. Koenen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 2010. Pat was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she had been involved with the Christian Women. She had belonged to the Port Washington Women's Club, and volunteered at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington. Pat is survived by her daughters: Kathryn (Andrew) Potos of Belgium, Ann (Greg) Miller of Atlanta, GA and Mary (Rick) DeBano of Oregon, WI. She is further survived by 5 grandsons: Michael, Steven, Patrick (Katherine), David and James, her brother Jim (Dolores) Hopfensperger of Kaukauna, sisters-in-law Rita Thein and Peg Koenen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30AM on Wednesday, October 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 430 Johnson St., in Port Washington with Father Patrick Wendt presiding. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:30-11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
