Mrs. Charles Frey passed away in death at Juneau on Thurday morning of last week at the advanced age of 81 years. She had been in failing health for the past six years. Augusta Koehler was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Koehler and was born in Germany May 31st, 1864. She came to the United States with her parents at the age of eleven years, the family settling in the town of Lowell. Her marriage to Charles Frey occurred November 10th, 1898, and they continued their home in the town of lowell and the town of Calamus until 1934, when they moved to this city.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter and a son, Mrs William Willie of Horicon and Herbert Frey of this city. Also surviving are three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Anna Hemley [Henke] of Lowell. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the Briese & Heilmann funeral home at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon and at two o'clock at St. Stephen's Lutheran church of which she was a member. The services were conducted by Rev. L.C. Kirst and the remains interred in Oakwood cemetery.
