KOEHLER, DONALD ANTHONY—Donald Anthony Koehler, of Omaha passed away in the Booth Memorial hospital in Omaha, August 1, 1966, aged 73 years and 5 days. He was born in Geneva, Neb., July 29, 1893.
Donald was the only child of Anthony and Kate Fisher Koehler. Mrs. Koehler was a member of a pioneer family of Geneva. His father was one of the founders of the firm of A. Koehler Co. in Geneva in 1885.
Donald was six years old when his father died. Mrs. Koehler and son moved to Lincoln in 1911, after Donald graduated from Geneva high school. He then attended the University of Nebraska.

Donald and Leona Rogers were married in 1914. To this union a daughter, Betty Jo (Mrs. Max Conover) was born. Her husband, a colonel in the U. S. Army at present is stationed in Anchorage, Alaska.

Mr. Koehler was very active in the lumber and contracting business in Nebraska for many years.

In early youth, Donald became a member of the Congregational church and retained this membership during his life. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Sterling for over fifty years. He spent most of his business life at Sterling, where he operated a lumber yard.

Sixteen years ago he suffered a severe stroke, from which he never recovered. Through all those years Donald bore his affliction with great patience. His wife “Tim,” as she is affectionately known has been devoted to him all these years.

He leaves his wife, Leona of Omaha; a daughter, Betty Jo, and her husband Max and a grandson, Charles Timothy of Anchorage.
Geneva cousins are John, Ben and George Koehler and Louise Koehler Picard. He leaves a host of friends in Nebraska.

Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 10:30 a. m. Thursday, August 4. Rev. K. Orlando Lee officiated. Pallbearers were William Hofferber, Hugh Hadsell, Porter Sloan, Earl Wilkins, Carl Schneider, and Tyler Edgecombe.

Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
