Florence K. Greer, 93, went home to her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Florence was born Sept. 15, 1919, in Fort Worth to Marie and Rudolph Koci Sr. A graduate of North Side High School in 1937, she was a member of the National Honor Society. Florence was a 78-year member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #92 in Fort Worth and a member of the Ladies' Circle. A bookkeeper and stenographer by profession, Florence was a member of the Arlington chapter of the American Business Women's Association and a member of the Eastern Star. Florence loved to travel and was especially grateful for being able to visit relatives and places in Europe on two occasions. She loved to sew, was an outstanding cook and, most of all, loved to spend time with her family. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and always made time to help and comfort others in need. Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James C. Greer; and her daughter, Nancy Jones. Survivors: Remaining to celebrate her life are her son, Mike Greer and wife, Patricia; brother, Rudolph Koci Jr. and wife, Claudia; grandchildren, Craig Jones, Cyndi Lewis and husband, Sam, Tim Langan, Patrick Langan and John Langan; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
