9 Dec. 1935: Mrs. CLara L. Bomgardner, wife of John W. Bomgardner, of Deodate, a former resident of Palmyra, died Saturday at 4:50 a.m. at her home after four weeks of complications. Had she lived until December 29 she would have been seventy-eight years of age. Mrs. Bomgardner was born at Fisherville, a daughter of the late John and Hannah Kocher. She was a resident of Palmyra for twenty years prior to taking up residence at Deodate two years ago. She was a member of the First United Brethren church, Palmyra. Mrs. Bomgardner also resided in Kansas and Harrisburg. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters and one son, as follows; Mrs. Frank Hawk, Cressona; Mrs. C. O. Barr, Penbrook; Mrs. Frank Eisenhower, of Deodate; and Arthur C. Bomgardner, of Palmyra; also two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Sarah Shadow, Paxtonia; Mrs. Kate Weaver, of Harrisburg, and George Kocher, of Oberlin. Eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild also survive. [Lebanon Daily News]
