John C. Koch, 2115 West Fourth street, Davenport died Wednesday evening at St. Francis hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo., to where he had gone about Sept. 1 for his health. For the last 23 years, Mr. Koch had been employed as an estimator at the White Yards Lumber company.
The deceased was born in Germany on May 6, 1866, and came to the United States, coming direct to Davenport, when two years of age. He had been a resident here since. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alvina Koch of Davenport, and two daughters, Elsie and Jeanette. Mr. Koch was a member of the German Lutheran faith.
In the telegram received by his wife announcing his death it was stated that his body would be shipped here immediately. The time of the funeral will be announced upon its arrival at the Hill & Frederick’s mortuary.
