ELIZABETH GRANT
Elizabeth Helen Grant, daughter of Hans and Pauline (Sudrow) Knutzen, was born September 3, 1895, at Ute, Iowa. She died after a lengthy illness at the Vista Gardens Care Center, Red Oak, Iowa, on December 11, 1992, at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 8 days.

She was raised on a farm near Ute and as a teenager moved to Dunlap. She taught school for 20 years before her marriage.

She was married to Dewey G. Grant on September 14, 1932, at Blair, Nebraska. They moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, in 1941 and moved to Red Oak, Iowa, July 25, 1982. She was a past member of the St. John Lutheran Church at Storm Lake and is now a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Red Oak, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on July 30, 1982, a daughter, Marjorie, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Elizabeth is survived by a daughter, Betty Teague of Downey, California; son-in-law, Harold Smith of Red Oak, Iowa; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 14, at 10 a.m. in the Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home, Red Oak.

Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dunlap,k at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jerome Wagoner officiating. Visitation was held Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home.
