Mrs. Bessie Orlean Covington, 78, of Route 8, Athens, died Monday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with burial in Oneal Cemetery.
Mrs. Covington was a member of the Oneal Church of Christ.
Survivors include four daughters, Paulette Tipper of Florence, and Margaret Cramer, Charlotte Bates and Dawn Smith, all of Athens; two brothers, Ordway Knowles of Athens and Wilburn Knowles of Lincoln Park, Mich.; two sisters, Jessie Covington and Onie Matthews, both of Athens; and four grandchildren.
