McLEANSBORO — Ava Allardin, 93, McLeansboro, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro.
Mrs. Allardin was a homemaker.
She was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Hamilton County, a daughter of Hiram Earl and Rebecca (Hood) Knight.
Ava married Guy P. Allardin on Dec. 9, 1937; he preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Saturday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery near McLeansboro.
Mrs. Allardin is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Charlene Vaughan of McLeansboro, Deon Allardin and wife Leta of McLeansboro, Joy Bebout of Washington, Mo., Charles Absher and wife Linda of Mascoutah, Steve Lathrop and wife Mitzi of Buncombe, Rodney Absher and wife Rosemary of California and Rick Absher and wife Terri of Beckley, W.Va.
She was a member of Mt. Olivet General Baptist Church in McLeansboro.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alva Knight; and a sister, Orma Knight.
