Albert E. Knight
Rome – Albert E. Knight, 52, died Oct. 9, 1939 at his home, 712 N. James St., after an illness of five months. A native and life-resident of Rome, Mr. Knight was employed 35 years in the Gas Service Department of the Central New York Power Corporation. He was a son of Albert P. and Emma Kentfield Knight. He married Margaret Whitmeyer June 15, 1910. A member of the First Methodist Church, he also belonged to the Twenty-Five Year Club of the Central New York Power Corporation and the Utilities Employee Association. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Stuart R. Knight, Chicago; a son, Arthur A., at home; a sister, Mrs. Joseph P. Bowers, Rome; a brother, Walter S. Knight; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Alvin C. Goddard at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Griffin & Aldrich Funeral Home, Interment will be in Rome Cemetary.
