KATHARINE E. CRANE, 104,
of Wellsboro, PA, passed away at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2014.

She was the wife of Lawrence A. Crane who preceded her in death April 7, 1990.

She was born in Delmar Township, July 28, 1909, the daughter of the late Christian Henry and Bertha Albertina Wilhelmina (Gerth) Knaus.

Katharine was a graduate of Wellsboro High School Class of 1928.

She was employed during her lifetime for Ray Bowen and Harry Krause Dairy Store, Corning Glass Works and the Silk Mill, all of Wellsboro.

Katharine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mary Wells Chapter #452 O.E.S. Wellsboro and a member of the Tioga Country Club.

She enjoyed golf and bowling. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence Arland and Rose Crane, Tioga, PA;

grandson and wife, Thomas William and Susan Crane, Burlington, NC;

three great-grandchildren,
Samuel William Crane,
Katherine Rose Crane
and Brittany Salmon;
several nieces and nephews.

Service, April 22, 2014 from 1-2 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church 53 West Ave., Wellsboro, PA. Funeral to follow at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Peter DeVantier officiating.

Burial in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
