Orchard News (I need to get the top of the page of the paper)

...In 1938 on the expansion of the Implement Company of Bush and Butterfield, Orchard because the residence of this couple and they have since maintained their permanent home in the village.
When Mr. Butterfield entered the Armed Services of the United States in December 1943 and was stationed at Camp Walters, Texas, Mrs. Butterfield lived near his army post at Mineral Springs. When Ed was sent to Camp Maxie their trailer home was in Elgin and Paris Texas. With the transfer ot Camp Dix, New Jersey of Sgt. Butterfield's company, a temporary home was maintained there until overseas services separated the husband and wife. Since that time Mrs. Butterfield has lived in Orchard assisting with the book work of her husband's Implement Agency. This had been their plan for time until peace was again upon the earth and they could be reunited and resume their interrupted plans for life.
Mrs. Butterfield was of a a quiet disposition and well liked by a large circle of friends who share with the relatives in their sorrow. Of her immediate famly there are besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy H. Knapp, one daughter, Mrs. Earl Smith and one brother, Sgt. Richard Knapp, serving in the European Area.
Because of the improbability of Sgt. Butterfield being permitted to return to the States under the existing conditions, the family announce the time of the funeral to be Friday at 2 pm from the Orchard Untied Brethern Church. Rev C.F. Wantz, the minister will be in charge and the Stope family of Venus will furnish the music. Active pallbearers chosen are Chester Tikalsky, Homer Barton, Gurney Drayton, Donald Lautenschlager, Eddie Bright and A. Nielson, Mrs. Homer Barton will be in charge of the floral committee and a Corps of Honor from the Orchard POst of the American legion will represent the Armed Forces.
