She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Ruby A. Knapp and one brother, James.
Five siblings survive, Elizabeth Smith of Marshall, David (Marion) Knapp of Palm Bay, Florida, Roger (Shirley) Knapp of Kalamazoo, Patricia (Robert) Hosimer of Perry, Michigan, and Mary (Carl) Benedetto of Wilmington, North Carolina.
She also leaves many nieces, nephews and their offspring, all of who loved their Aunt Curl, as she loved them.
Ruby was dedicated to her beliefs, defending them vigorously.
She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church since childhood.
Ruby was a strong believer in human rights and was a life-long supporter of the Democratic Party, working tirelessly as a delegate, envelope stuffer or whatever it took.
Ruby maintained lifetime friendships from Southwestern and Battle Creek Central's Class of 1941.
Ruby spent nearly thirty years at Clark Equipment in a vocation and with co-workers she loved.
Long-term special friends were Andy Lysak, now living in Belgium, Mary Lou Clarey, Eva Wart, A. J. McNutt, Carl Jones; an endless list.
