Nettie M. Klotz

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Nettie M. Klotz, 77, of Fredericksburg, who died Friday evening, February 25, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in New Hampton.

There were 1:30 p.m. services at Peace United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg with Pastor Barbara Bullock officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg, and Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The casket bearers were Laverne Lienau, LaVerne Wolter, Marc Rassler, Wayne Lienau, Donald Wolter, and Wayne Klotz. Eleanor Harkrader was the organist and Belle Barker and Kathy Abbott served on the flower committee.

She was born March 1, 1916, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of August and Mary (Meyer) Wolter. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver and attended school in Denver.

On August 20, 1940, she and Alfred Klotz were married in Denver.

She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, the Peace Women's Fellowship, and the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Evelyn Klotz of Fredericksburg, two daughters, and son in laws, Donna Kaye and James Rassler, of Livingston, Montona, and Jane and Alan Bouska of Vincent, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Velma Weatherbee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, her parents, one brother, Edwin Wolter, and one sister, Dorothy Wolter.
