Mrs. Dorothy Mae Cox, a native and life long resident of Madera passed away on Friday, January 3, 2003 at the age of 88. Dorothy graduated from Madera High School, class of 1932. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Madera. She worked for the Madera County Welfare Department as the Administrative Officer for 18 years, retiring in 1975. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Cox.
Dorothy is survived by her children, C. Russell Cox of Santa Clarita, CA., Betty Saunders of Torence, CA., Ila Fraser of Bremerton, WA., Clairice Nelson of Elk Grove, CA and Janice Davis of Madera. She is the grandmother of 16, the great grandmother of 23 and several great great grandchildren.
