Sister Francis Raymond Kline, 86, of Syracuse , New York, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Jolenta Convent, Syracuse , NY . Sister was born in Florence, NY , to the late Francis Joseph and Mattie Frances Mileham Kline. She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on September 8, 1941, and professed Final Vows on August 22, 1947. Sister was a registered nurse when she entered the convent and later obtained a master's degree in nursing at Catholic University. Following novitiate, she began her ministry as a nurse at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, NY . She also ministered at Mercy Hospital, Auburn, St. James Hospital Newark, NJ, St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse , NY , St. Anthony Motherhouse and Loretto Rest.
Sister is survived by a nephew, Chris Basher, of Delaware; great-nephews, Bryan Basher and Tim Basher; great-niece, Gretchon Stenson; and cousins in Kentucky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2006, at St. Anthony Motherhouse Chapel at 1024 Court St., Syracuse , NY . Burial in Assumption Cemetery will follow an 8:30 a.m. Farewell Service Friday, October 6, 2006, in the Motherhouse Chapel. Calling hours are Thursday, October 5, 2006, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Motherhouse, 1024 Court St., Syracuse , NY .
