He married Katherine Küchenmeister, native of Hessen-Darmstadt, and the daughter of Johann Conrad Küchenmeister and spouse unknown. They were married in Jefferson County on 13 February 1861. He died near Kirkwood of Dropsy on 08 May 1902, and is buried at St Lucas Cemetery in Sunset Hills, St Louis County, Missouri. Andreas and Katherine had 9 children: John Frederick Kley, William J Kley, Andrew Henry Kley, Mary Katherine Kley Meyer (Mrs. George Meyer), Henry Jacob Kley, Anna Wilhelmina Caroline 'Lena' Kley Nolte (Mrs. Anton 'Tony' Charles Nolte), Katherine 'Katie' Elizabeth Kley Bowen (Mrs. George Alfred Bowen), Friederich 'Fritz' William Kley, and Emilie 'Millie' Louise Kley Ruhl (Mrs. John H Ruhl).
