William C. Kleist

William C. Kleist, 76. formerly
of 133 Hinsdale Road,
Mattydale. died yesterday at Veterans Administration Hospital,
Canandaigua. after a
long illness.
A native of Syracuse, he
lived in Mattydale 45 years. He
was a machinist for New Process
Gear 20 years. He retired
15 years ago. A Communicant
of St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale,
he was a veteran of
World War I and was a 50-year
member of the DAV, a former
member of American Legion
Post 41, a former member of
the Hinsdale Fire Department
and a 30-year member of the
Onondaga County Firemen Exempts.
He is survived by his
daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Tuszynski,
Liverpool; four sons.
William Jr. and Herbert of
Mattydale, Gerald of Ithaca
and John of North Syracuse; a
brother, Walter of Clay; six
sisters. Mrs. Leona Cole. Mrs.
Anna Degan, Mrs. Theresa
Dixon. Mrs, Betty O'Brien.
Miss Katherine Kleist and
Mrs. Lena Eagan; 11 grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m.
Thursday at the Krueger Funeral
Home and at 9:30 a.m. in
St. Margaret's Church. Burial
will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral
home. 2307 Brewerton
Road,. Mattydale.
