He was originally known as Abraham but used the name Albert as an adult. He graduated from Syracuse Central High School and received a graduate degree in chemistry in 1911 from University of MI, Ann Arbor. Albert married Ann Shapero in 1913 in Syracuse, and they moved to Pittsburgh PA. He became chief chemist for the Norton Company in 1916, and they lived in Worcester MA by 1917. Albert was president of Temple Emanuel, Worcester for many years. Bnai Brith Lodge Cemetery is also known as Bnai Brith Cemetery.
