Celia Ann Clark was born Aug. 31, 1936, in Moline, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Stambaugh) Clark. She was united in marriage to James E. Klauer on Oct. 15, 1955, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf.
Celia retired in 2001 from Adams Elementary and continued working at the Children’s Village in east Davenport. She was past president of the Davenport Association of Professional Secretaries, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed sewing and shopping.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 59 years, James; and their children: two daughters, Cynthia (Rob) Klauer-Grace and Sheri Blair; two sons, Keith Klauer and Larry Klauer; her grandchildren, Maranda, Rachel, Brittni, Frank, Jennifer, Julie and Clark; her sister, Donna (Al) Schnoebolen; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents. May they rest in peace.
