Clarence was the son of Clarence and Pearl Rachael (Kimrey) Kivett. He married Dorothy Melefa Campbell and they had two children: Bonnie Faye and Kenneth Boyd.

LIBERTY _ C. Boyd "Shorty" Kivett, 53, of Rt. 1, Stley, died Tuesday at Moore Memorial Hospital in Southern Pines.
Funertal will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alton Cook officiating. Burial will be at the church.
A native of Randolph County, he was a former employee of Stout Chair Company.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Dorothy Campbell Kivett, daughter, Mrs. Bonnie K. Hicks of Rt. 4, Siler City; son Kenneth Kivett of the home; sisters, Mrs. Ethel Harsboro of Silver City, Mrs Rachel jessup and Miss Betty Kivett of Greensboro.
The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.
