Exerpt from "Kissick Families of Kentucky, Descendants of Henry McKissick and Mary McCay" comp. by W. LaVerne Paul, Dublin, Ireland, revised 2014

5.5.5 Margaret Kissick4 [William Ray3 Robert2 Henry1] was the second eldest daughter of William Ray Kissick and Louvena Colvin. She was born on 17 September 1862 at Morton’s Gap in Hopkins Co., Kentucky, and reared and resided on the old Kissick homestead near Queen's, Kentucky, until 4 September 1907, when she was united in marriage with Dr. Charles U. Aydelott, a retired pioneer physician of Cincinnati, Ohio, and in which city she resided the rest of her life.

Unassuming, gentle, patient and kindly in demeanor, Maggie, as she was called, was a most beautiful character, loved and respected by all who knew her.

Even at the age of 71, Maggie's death on Sunday morning, 11 February 1934 was a surprise. She was apparently in her usual health and actively engaged in attending to her various business affairs and household duties to the day she was stricken with pneumonia and an ulcer of the stomach. The combination was the cause of her death two weeks later in Christ Hospital. She had been moved there and everything possible was done in the way of nursing and medical science in a great effort to restore her to health and loved ones. Her lengthy obituary and numerous memoriams attest to her standing in the community and with her family. Dr. Aydelott preceded Maggie in death. He died Wednesday, 4 November 1925, aged 77 years, at the family residence, 6345 Lower River Road, Delhi, Ohio, after a brief illness. Dr. Aydelott was born on in Cincinnati about 1848 and graduated from the Cincinnati Medical College in 1880. He was an authority on the history of Cincinnati and matters pertaining to the growth of the city. He was one of the oldest members of the Mercantile Library. They were buried beside each other in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Although Maggie had no children, she remained at home after her mother's death and raised the three youngest children. She also raised Louella Rea, the daughter of her sister Minnie who died of Tuberculosis when Louella was but a few months old. Maggie married Dr. Aydelott with the understanding that she could keep Louella with her.
