Sherry L Kish, 58, of Kempton, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in St Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the wife of Eugene C Kish. The couple celebrated 30 years of marriage on October 20. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of Mildred (Fenstermaker) Bachman of Allentown and the late George J Bachman. She was a graduate of William Allen High School, class of 1969. Sherry was the deposit operations manager of Sovereign Bank, Wyomissing Branch, Berks County, for 10 years, until May of this year. Previously she worked in the operations center in Wyomissing Branch of what started out as a Meridian Bank, becoming CoreStates and finally First Union. Earlier in her banking career, she also worked at the operations center for American Bank and Trust of Reading and 1st National Bank of Allentown. She was an avid volleyball player, having played in the Whitehall, Catasauqua and Bethlehem leagues. Sherry was an enthusiastic Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan.
Survivors: Husband; mother; stepdaughters, Michelle Nicholas and her husband, Robert, and Andria Weber and her husband, Tyson; sister, Crystal L Kupar and her husband Gregory; Brothers Robert J Bachman and his wife Jane, and Dale G Bachman and his wife Joyce; Nieces, Tammy Erdley and Mylea Bachman; nephews, Nathan Bachman, David Weigle and Derek Miller; 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Kish, in 1985, and by two nephews, Philip and Kade Bachman.
Services: 10:30 am Saturday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Call 9-10:30 am Saturday in the funeral home. Interment in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.
