Mrs. Alleen Graham Kirtley, 31 years old, wife of Earl Kirtley, of this city, died Monday morning at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Kirtley was before her marriage, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Graham, of Louisville. She professed faith in Christ and united with the Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Green County and later moved her membership to the Baptist church here. She was married to Mr. Kirtley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Kirtley, of this city, September 16, 1920. Five children, four daughters and one son, were born to this union and all survive. They are Katherine, Elena, Louise, Ruby Lucille and Ezra, Jr., all at home. Deceased was a kind and affectionate wife and a loving mother. She lived an upright Christian life and had taught Sunday school for some time before she became ill. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church here by the Rev. J. L. Robinson. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery.

Mr. Ezra C. Kirtley, 77, of 339 Taylor Boulevard in Campbellsville, son of the late Rev. William A. Kirtley and Mrs. Kattie Bell Kirtley, was born in Taylor County, July 8, 1901. He died at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, 1978, at Taylor County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. Mr. Kirtley united in marriage to Miss Aileen Graham in 1919. She preceded him in death March 13, 1933. He reunited in marriage to Mrs. Bessie Neagle in 1969. He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Bessie Neagle Kirtley of Campbellsville; four daughters and one son: Miss Lucille Kirtley of Campbellsville, Mrs. Paul (Louise) Raley of Springfield, Mrs. Welby (Katherine) Benningfield, Mrs. Eleanor Glaser, and Mr. Ezra Kirtley Jr., all of Louisville. Mr. Kirtley is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Mrs. Arthur (Mattie) Constant of Campbellsville, Mr. Frank Kirtley and Mr. Robert C. Kirtley, both of Elizabethtown, and Mr. W. G. Kirtley of Louisville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel by Dr. J. Chester Badgett. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
