Mrs. Jernigan was born in Muhlenberg County on August 14, 1913. She was a retired cook employed by several restaurants in this area and a member of Greenville Church of Christ.
Survivors include one brother, Ray Kirtley of Central City and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 18, 2000 at 11 a. m. at Tucker Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Childs officiating. Burial followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, Kentucky.
