Born in Madison County, VA near the Rapidan River. Daughter of Thomas and Judith Lewis Kirtley. She was the wife of William Hobson and mother of Atwood Gaines Hobson and several other children. Following her husband's death and during the War Between the States, she lived in Bowling Green. Prior to that she lived in Greensburg, Ky where she is buried. Died Feb. 18, 1872 buried in the Hobson Family Graveyard.
