The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Judith K. Burnet, age 69, of Homosassa, Florida, will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes.
Judy passed away at HPH Hospice Care Center Inverness on May 26, 2012, with her loving husband Jim by her side. Donations in memory of Judy Burnet may be made to HPH Hospice, 3545 North Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, Florida, 34465, on the bottom of the check write "Judy Burnet for Citrus County use only". Cremation will be under the direction of Hooper Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
Judy was born July 4, 1942, in Newark, NJ, to Blanche and Samual Kirsch. Judy married Alan Klein in 1961 in Newark, NJ, and had two children, Mara and Richard. She was married to James E. Burnet III in 1993 in Clearwater, Florida. Prior to living in Florida, Judy lived in Union, New Jersey, and worked for Fedway Associates Liquor Distributors of Port Kearny, NJ. She was one of the first female sales representatives in the firm. Upon moving to Florida, she worked for Signature Concepts of Tampa, Florida. Judy loved the gulf beaches, boating and her home in Sugarmill Woods. She was an ardent skeet shooter and was a member of the Silver Dollar shooting club of Odessa Florida and a life member of the Hernando Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are her husband, James E. Burnet III of Homosassa, FL, formerly of Clearwater, FL, and Madison, NJ; her daughter, Mara Clark of Easton, PA; her son, Richard Klein of Philadelphia, PA; 4 grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Rebecca and Samual; and two brothers, Harvey Kirsch of Florida and Jeffrey Kirsch of Texas. The family wishes to express deep gratitude for all the love and support of family and friends.
