Catherine M. Hunziker, 36, of Kahoka, died Friday, May 10, 1996, in Keokuk Area Hospital following an auto accident earlier in the day. Born July 24, 1959, in Keokuk, Iowa, she was a daughter of Clarence J. and Nancy Collins Kirchner. She married Terry L. Hunziker in September 1989 in New Orleans, La. He survives. Mrs. Hunziker was a 1978 graduate of Clark County R-1 High School and a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick. She was a postal clerk in the St. Patrick Post Office and was a clerk at Tri-State Livestock. She also enjoyed working with livestock on their farm. Survivors include her parents of St. Patrick; four brothers, Clinton Kirchner of Kahoka, Curtis Kirchner of Eldon, Clifford Kirchner of Russellville, Ark., and Craig Kirchner of Buford, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. Edd (Marcia) Hardin of Canton, Mrs. Danny (Myrna) Daughtry of Mattoon, Ill., Mrs. Kevin (Carol) Hinkebein of Defiance and Judy Kirchner of St. Patrick; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and a brother Carl. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, May 13, in the Shrine of St. Patrick in St. Patrick by the Rev. James Wheeler. A vigil service was held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Cemetery.
