-Donna Marie Banka, 78, passed April 21, 2010, at Ivy Court in Coeur d'Alene. She was born Aug. 6, 1931, to John and Esther Kirchner in Genoa, Neb. She was the second of nine children. Donna graduated from Post Falls High School in 1949. On July 27, 1949, she married Everett Banka at the McGuire Church in Post Falls. Donna was a member of the Coeur d'Alene Wesleyan Church for many years. She was missionary president and Sunday school teacher. She was currently a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Coeur d'Alene. Donna loved to cook and worked for many area businesses as a cook. She also enjoyed gardening and quilting. Donna is survived by son Raymond Banka and daughter Shirley Ann Banka, both of Coeur d'Alene; and a sister, Jan Curtis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett; son John; her parents; and seven brothers and sisters.
-A viewing for Donna will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2010, at ENGLISH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2010, at Coeur d'Alene Memorials Gardens Cemetery.
