A funeral mass will be said for Elizabeth M. Kircher of McMinnville at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in St. James Catholic Church in McMinnville. Father Terry O'Connell will officiate.

Private family interment will take place in Quincy, Ill.

Mrs. Kircher died in the Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005. She was 80.

Born in Sydney, Australia, on March 21, 1925, she was the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Stewart) Kerrigan. After completing her education, she went to work for the United Nations, which took her to New York City. She subsequently held posts in Japan, the Philippines and India.

She married Donald Kircher on Sept. 21, 1950, in Bombay, India. They lived in New Jersey and Australia.

She moved to Quincy, Ill., in 1960; Boulder, Colo., in 1975; and McMinnville earlier this year. She served as president of the local symphony orchestra in Quincy and volunteered with the local hospital and hospice program in Boulder. She also belonged to the St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish in Boulder.

She enjoyed going to symphonies, playing tennis, playing bridge, cooking, traveling, gardening and reading.

Mrs. Kircher is survived by two sons, Peter of McMinnville and Michael of Boulder, Colo.; a daughter, Patricia Tilton of McLean, Ill.; a sister, Kerri Coleman of Adelaide, Australia, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994.
