Charlotte May Kintzinger, 91, of The Woodlands, 3460 Starlite Dr, passed away early May 4, 2016, at the Heritage/Hawkeye Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa where she had been cared for since March.

Charlotte was born on May 12, 1924, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Matilda (Tillie) Renier Faber and Michael Faber.

She married David Kintzinger in May 1947 at Church of the Nativity.

She attended Clarke College from 1942-1943 and worked at the Faber Music Company in the sheet music department for 40 years and did bookkeeping work for 20 years.

She lived her entire life in Dubuque, Iowa, raising her family on Mt. Loretta Ave. for over 55 years. Charlotte loved her family and enjoyed the outdoors, playing bridge, gardening and reading. She was an active member of the Theresians of Dubuque, St. Elizabeth’s Mothers Club, the Catholic Daughters of Dubuque, and NAMI.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Kintzinger, who passed away in 2003, and by her brother, Frank Faber, and sister, Phyllis Most.

Surviving are five children: John Kintzinger (friend Kay Habovsky) of Iowa City, IA, Jean (Jim) Gantz, of Dubuque, IA, Judy Kintzinger, of Madison, WI, Susan Kintzinger, of Madison, WI, and Tom (Sue) Kintzinger, of Hayward, WI; three grandchildren: Eric (Nicole) Gantz, Abby (Eric) Schissler and Katie Kintzinger; four great-grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua and Lauren Gantz, and Eden Schissler.

Funeral services will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, with visitation at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge the care and concern given by Charlotte’s niece and husband Mary and Steve Vanderah over the years and the recent care given by Heritage/Hawkeye Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque.

Memorials may be given to St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Charlotte’s memory.
